California Young World cares for infants in a warm, affectionate way, completely meeting each child's physical needs. Opportunities are provided for exploring, learning and social interaction, through a variety of daily activities. These activities stimulate the senses, recognizing that infants learn through the use of eyes, ears, fingers and the sense of taste and smell, Children are cared for in small groups providing opportunities for one-to-one interaction between children and staff. As infants become toddlers, we work to establish foundations for Social Development and the development of language. Children are able to choose from a variety of age-appropriate toys and educational materials. They have ample opportunity to develop small and gross motor skills through planned activities that begin to introduce curriculum areas of art, science, music and movement and dramatic play.
